U.S. AND WORLD HISTORYU.S. History is taught to both 8th Grade and 11th. 8th Graders take what essentially is a broad overview of American history up until 1914. The 11th Grade year examines all events in American history beginning with the period of Reconstruction after the Civil War and ending with modern U.S. history. 10th Grade focuses on World History with emphasis on historical events and social climates outside of the U.S. |
WORLD GEOGRAPHY10th Grade course work focusing on world history and events including the Italian Renaissance, Protestant Reformation, and the historical Middle East. Students will be able to recognize how an in-depth analysis of World History will lead to significant educational advancements in understanding U.S. History. |
AMERICAN GOVERNMENTSenior course work focusing on the idiosyncrasies of the United States Democratic System. Students will be able to recognize terms that have roots in ancient Rome and Greece. Course work will focus on understanding how the 3 branches of the United States democratic structure has contributed to the spread of democratic values throughout the World. |
